This is a post i’ve wanted to write for a long time, and it’s a post l would highly recommend you to read every single word of.

It’s also a post that will potentially offend you and make you hate me, but that’s fine, you still need to read it.

It’s the ’realest’ (is that a word?) post l have ever and probably ever will make.

’Jonas, what the hell are you talking about?’

Let’s get into it:

You (yes, you) are most likely an addict.

You can’t stop buying various products online that are promising online riches, can you?

You, just like myself when l first started out, have probably spent hundreds, if not thousands, if not tens of thousands, trying to learn the secret to making money online.

I don’t blame you.

Every single day, you are bombarded with emails from marketers, and every single day the best and easiest method ever appears to get released.

There’s at least 100, usually 150+ new products launched every single MONTH in the mmo space.

This is good news for people like me who earn a living from promoting products, but it’s terrible news for buyers like you.

Let me get even more real:

Most vendors and affiliates do not use the methods/software they are selling you.

They create products for the sole purpose of having something to sell.

I’m not saying all methods/software that are launched these days are bad.

I’ve promoted a couple different softwares lately, and they’ve been fantastic.

I’ve also promoted a lot of ’info products’ that are great as well, and if you take action, you can definitely start making money.

What i’m saying is, most vendors are making money from launching products, NOT from actually using the methods they teach in a course.

As in:

Most vendors and affiliates are making the bulk of their income from creating their own products, and promoting other peoples products.

(You’ve heard that the money is in the list, right? Well, it’s true)

Anyway, here’s the biggest problem:

There are too many products launching every day.

Or rather, there’s too many people promoting almost all of the products launching.

Of course you’ll end up buying products you don’t need.

Us marketers are creating great bonuses, and the sales pages are often extremely convincing/well written, and we (marketers) know how to hit your ‘trigger points’ that gets you to buy.

Here’s how you can ACTUALLY start making money online:

Let me give you some homework:

Take a look at the last 3-10 products you purchased.

Which method out of those, seem the most exciting to you?

1) Free traffic like SEO/launching products?

2) Paid traffic like FB/Google/Bing ads?

Let’s assume you go with option 2, and you want to learn more about paid ads.

Great. That’s what i’ll be focusing on myself in 2020.

Anyway, here’s the homework:

Do NOT buy any more products that aren’t related to what you want to focus on.

If a product launches tomorrow that is about free don’t buy it, no matter how exciting it sounds.

You focus on the previous course about ads.

If in a few days time a course comes out that is all about all means go ahead and get it.

That’s what I do myself whenever I decide to focus on something.

A couple months ago when I went all in on ecommerce, I ended up buying several courses and I found a couple ‘nuggets’ in all of them.

Want to know what I didn’t do?

Bought courses that had nothing to do with eCom.

This is literally the secret to making money online:

You focus on ONE method at a time.

You don’t buy a product teaching SEO today, and then tomorrow something about FB ads, and the day after that, you buy a product on how to get clients for local businesses.

Now, if you’re reading this and you’ve never purchased a product online, things are a bit different, because you don’t really know what you’ll find the most appealing.

So for kind of have to buy a couple different products before you know what is most appealing to you.

With that said, I have a feeling that most people reading this will have already purchases products for thousands of dollars.

If you feel..”yep, that’s me”

Then you know about most methods out there, so it’s decision time.

Figure out which of the countless products you’ve purchased seems like the most fun, and then take action on that.

Once you know what you want to focus on:

Stop buying products that are unrelated to what you want to focus on.

It really is that simple.

That’s how you’re going to start making money online.

Not by buying product after product..

By taking action on one method.

I GUARANTEE you will never make it online if you keep buying product after product.

I’d love to get your input on this.

Have a great day,

  1. Hello Jonas, fantastic post.
It’s the second time this year that you tell me what I need to hear.
I am slowly taking the necessary action.
But we actually ended up buying product after product.
The latest products I bought more for the bonus than for the product itself.
These related bonuses I want to focus on.
    Thank you very much.

  2. Hey Jonas,

I totally agree with what your saying and yeah I’v been guilty of shiny object syndrome for years. I,m fully aware now that apart from a few good courses, software etc, that most courses pretty much have the same content, with just a different person in front of the camera filming.

You state that there are too many products being launched every day and too many people promoting almost all of those new products.

So it sounds as if you think it’s becoming too saturated and if that’s the case what would you recommend? As this is what most courses teach, (how to promote other ppls products advertised on Muncheye, Warriorplus etc)

    1. Hey Kay,

Me personally, these days I only recommend products that I really feel can help people.

There are tons of good products still launching, so you just gotta be a bit more selective with what you promote.

If you do 4-6ish promos a month, but really go in, I think you could probably make as much if not more than if you were to promote 4-5 products per week.

It’s also a lot less work to just do 4-6 a month so for me personally at least, I definitely prefer doing that 🙂
